Using Software Update for Mac

  1. To run Software Update, do one of the following:
    1. Go to the dock at the bottom of your screen and click System Preferences
    2. Click Software Update
    3. Click Check Now
    • If you're running OS X 10.3, select Software Update from the Apple menu in the top left corner of your screen
  2. Software Update will then look for software updates for your computer
  3. Select the latest updates and click Install
  4. Enter your password, and click OK
  5. You may need to restart your computer when the install is finished
  6. When the computer finishes restarting, run Software Update again, to ensure there are no other updates that need to be installed
