    • Size of screen (8:1)
    • 6x6 rule - no more than 6 lines and 6 words per line o
    • Make it easy to read
    • Determining size of text
      • Text - 24 point minimum, 40 point is good for titles (depending on font)
      • For 35mm slides - can be read at arm's length
      • For transparancies - can be read at 5-6' (put on floor at your feet)
      • For digital projector - print out and put on floor or 5-6' away
    • Fonts - use Sans-Serif, Bold - with few exceptions
    • AVOID TYPING MUCH TEXT IN ALL CAPS - IT IS DIFFICULT TO READ Phrases of more than a few words in all caps causes the reader to re-read it
    • Light background for transparancies
    • Dark background for digital projectors
    • Evoke emotions with colors
      • red= passion, action, exciting
      • blue= loyal, tranquility, calming
      • black= facts w/ no room for discussion, powerful
      • purple= mystical and irresponsible
      • green= precision, resistant to change, opinionated
      • grey= neutral, un-committed, no emotion
      • brown= passive, less credible
    • Use animations only when necessary They can be distractive
    • Identify your objective and have all slides build towards that objective
