Robotics Lab
The Robotics Lab contains a wide variety of robotic platforms that range in size and sophistication from Lego Mindstorms to industrial and medical robots. The hands-on approach and cross-disciplinary nature of this center make it unique amongst the ECE department’s teaching labs.
Classes in this lab focus on all aspects of robotics. On the mechanical side, issues such as the kinematics and physical design of the robot platforms are addressed. Electrical and computer engineering topics range from hardware (i.e., circuit design, board layout, and component selection) to software development (i.e., simulation, interface design, Control algorithms, and trajectory planning).
