EB II 1024 is our '''Linux Computer Lab'''. It is used for classes needing Cadence or Synopsis software. Each workstation in the lab has a flat panel monitor along with a computer. The computer lab is set up to effectively allow teaching while letting students work on the computer in groups. The two long rows of computers allow students to work together in groups. The setup is also effective in letting students help out other students.

With six computers, five oscilloscopes, seven multimeters, four function generators, six power supplies, and other various equipment, this lab is ready for the ECE 460, Distributed Systems Interfacing, class. Students in ECE 460 will learn about numerous concepts of interfacing systems, including microcomputer system architecture & applications and fundamental computer hardware. The laboratory part of ECE 460 consists of a design project. The design project will focus on digital hardware, communication, connectivity, and software. Students will work in groups of 2 or 3, and their project will be graded completely at the end of the year, with required updates every two weeks. Students will give an oral presentation on the fundamentals of the project individually to show what they have learned.
