Online Timesheets

On the ECE Webteam site, you will see a link on the right hand toolbar under “Admin Stuff” entitled “Online Timesheets.” Clicking this link will take you to an authentication page and then to the Payday Tool's main page. The main page has a calendar with the current fiscal year on the left of the screen. Today's date will be highlight red and any pay periods you have entered hours will appear turquoise.

When you first get to the main page, you should be able to input your hours in one of two ways. First, you can enter your hours into the rows of text boxes that appear at the top and middle of the page. When entering hours this way, you do not need to enter a colon to separate hours and minutes. In addition, make sure you enter your time in military format because there is no way to designate between AM and PM. Or if you prefer, you can click and drag your mouse along the collection of bars under each day. Each bar represents fifteen minutes and the beginning and ending time will be automatically entered into the text boxes for you. If for some reason, you get to the page, and can not enter any hours, go down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Edit” button.

Once you have entered all of your hours for the two week work period into payday, go down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Save” button. If and only if you are ready to print out your timesheet, click the “Lock” button at the bottom of the screen. Once your timesheet has become locked, a “Print” button will appear at the bottom of the screen. Clicking this button will create a pdf version of your timesheet will everything but your social security number filled out. Print a hard copy of this file, fill out your SSN, sign and date it, and then turn it in to your supervisor.
